Here's a great way to get some fantastic online bargains, find cheaper gas and electricity services and even book our holidays. Remember, anything you buy through our shop will help raise some money for the unit!
So go on, top up your CD/DVD collection, or, if you're making business purchases, why not make them from our webshop? For example, you can buy computer equipment from Novatech, great value broadband from Virgin.net or stationery from Euroffice. There's also plenty of offers on DIY products, clothing and lots more from big high street names.

We are going to the cinema!
Next week we are going to the cinema:
When: Wednesday 21st March
Where: Meet and collect from Cineworld, Parrswood, East Didsbury
Film: The Illusionist (PG)
Time: Meet at 6.10pm. The film should be finished by 8.45pm.
How much: £10, which will get you a ticket, prices vary from £4 to £6 and some popcorn or drink.

Climbing this Wednesday (7th March)
We are going climbing at the Manchester Climbing Centre.
Where: Meet at the Hut at 6.30pm read to catch the bus!
When: Next Wednesday, 6.30pm at the hut, to return to the hut at 9.30pm.
How Much? Please bring £10, in total we will be catching 4 buses - 2
there and 2 back, and it also costs around £8 to get in!
What to wear: Please bring suitable shoes for climbing (Climbing boots
or trainers)
This should be a fun even if expensive evening!

About the Unit
The Viking unit serves the entire Manchester South District and is open to anyone aged 14 to 18 years of age.
The unit was orginally formed in January 2004. We orginally had 7 members all from the 88th Manchester Scout group. Over the last few years we have originally increased in size dramatically, but unfortunately now are lacking in numbers. We now have 6 members and we are in consant contact with many of the groups in the Manchester South District.
Where? When? How?
We meet on Wednesdays at 2000hr (8pm) at 88th Manchester Scout HQ "The Lodge" School Lane Didsbury.
Just turn up or e-mail the leaders.
