Winter Camp - Lake District - 2009:

6th - 8th February 2009 at Dunmailraise

We stayed at the Achili Ratti Climbing club's Dunmail raise hut.

 

We setteled in on the Friday night.

In the morning we went up to Grisdale Tarn in seach of snow. We succeded in finding plenty of snow there and everyone was shown the correct way to travel on snow and how to arrest a fall if need be.
Some had got quite cold and wet by the time the leaders were happy that everyone had a resonable idea of what to do. So several went back to the hut whilst the rest topped out on Seat Sandal.

 

The following day we went up Helm Crag and most topped out at the very top on "The Lion".
